Lashify Pop Up
Lighting design for a pop-up store in a defunct Soho nail salon, transformed for the Lashify eyelash brand.
A pop-up store for Lashify, the popular eyelash brand, installed in a defunct nail salon in Soho, NYC. The store design and build-out were done by Craig Maldonado, a friend and frequent collaborator. Brendan did all the lighting — turning the entire top portion of the store's walls into a contiguous wraparound fixture that was adjustable in brightness and color.
The ribbed wall panels that Craig built created a natural cove along the ceiling line. Brendan ran continuous LED behind them so the light washed up and over, filling the space with a warm amber glow that could shift through the full spectrum. The effect made a small storefront feel like it was lit from within.
